Cancellation, Refund, Reschedule & Class Rules
These rules protect the student’s seat, the instructor’s time, and a fair learning environment for everyone in class.
Important: Registering for a class means the student and/or sponsoring company accepts this policy and the live-class requirements below.
1. Student Responsibility and Pre-Class Preparation
The student or sponsoring company is responsible for ensuring that all required equipment, accounts, information, and materials are ready before class begins.
- Create and access the required Veriforce/PEC Learn account before the deadline stated in the confirmation emails.
- Submit the requested identification, mailing address, and student photo before a course key can be issued.
- Use the same email address associated with the registration and training account.
- Have a working camera, microphone, speaker, internet connection, and Zoom-compatible device.
- Test Zoom before class at zoom.us/test.
- Open the workbook and other course materials before instruction begins. A second device may be needed to view materials while remaining visible in Zoom.
Repeated reminders do not extend these deadlines. A student who arrives without the required account, identification, photo, materials, or equipment may be denied entry, removed, or required to reschedule.
2. Late Arrival and No-Shows
Students must join on time. A student who has not joined within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time and has not communicated with the instructor will be considered a no-show. No-shows forfeit the registration payment.
Being logged into Zoom but not ready to participate does not satisfy the attendance requirement. Students must also have the required PEC Learn setup and be prepared to begin class.
3. Live-Class Conduct and Participation
This is a live instructor-led course and must be treated like an in-person classroom. Students must remain visible on camera, respond to the instructor, and actively participate for the full class.
- Driving or riding in a moving vehicle while participating is not allowed.
- Working, shopping, doing chores or laundry, playing games, sleeping, or handling unrelated activities is not allowed.
- Students must remain in a quiet location that supports learning and testing.
- Students must be appropriately dressed and respectful to the instructor and other participants.
- Leaving the meeting, turning off the camera for extended periods, or repeatedly stepping away may result in removal from class and forfeiture of payment.
4. Course Key, Testing, and Completion
The course key is issued at the appropriate point in class only after required student information has been completed and approved. Students must begin the exam when directed and follow instructor troubleshooting instructions.
If a test does not open or operate correctly on one device, the student may be instructed to use another browser or device, including a phone. Continuing to repeat the same unsuccessful step instead of following troubleshooting instructions does not qualify for extra time, a refund, or a free reschedule. Students are not guaranteed additional testing time beyond the period allowed by the instructor.
5. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations received within 24 hours of the scheduled class are non-refundable.
- Cancellations received more than 24 hours before class may receive a refund of up to 90% of the registration fee.
- Refunds are not available after class has started.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original form of payment.
6. Reschedule Policy
- One complimentary reschedule may be approved when the request is received at least two hours before class.
- The rescheduled class must be completed within 60 days of the original purchase.
- Additional reschedules are subject to a $45 fee.
- Rescheduling is not automatic and remains subject to instructor approval, class availability, and written confirmation.
- Requests made after class begins, after a no-show, or without prior communication result in forfeiture of payment.
7. Leaving Class or Disconnecting
After a student has attended 10 minutes or more, the student is considered in session. Leaving, disconnecting, or becoming unavailable because of personal reasons, unpreparedness, or student-side technical problems is treated as a forfeiture unless the problem was directly caused by The HSEU/PEC CLASS. Leaving without prior approval documented by email does not qualify for a refund or complimentary reschedule.
8. Student-Side Technical Problems
The HSEU/PEC CLASS is not responsible for poor internet service, power outages, device malfunctions, company firewalls or IT restrictions, Zoom problems on the student’s device, PEC Learn login or profile problems, camera or microphone failures, or failure to follow troubleshooting instructions—including switching devices when directed.
Student-side technical problems do not automatically qualify for a refund or free reschedule.
9. Instructor-Side Cancellations or Technical Failures
If The HSEU/PEC CLASS cancels a class or experiences a verifiable instructor-side or platform failure that prevents completion, affected students will be moved to another available class at no charge or offered the applicable refund.
10. How to Request a Cancellation or Reschedule
All requests must be submitted by email to support@pecclass.com. Requests made only by phone, text message, or social media are not accepted. Any exception or instructor approval must be documented by email.
11. Chargebacks, Disputes, and Liability
Failure to attend, prepare, participate, follow instructions, or resolve student-side technical problems does not create grounds for a refund, reversal, or chargeback. Questions or disputes must first be addressed directly with PEC CLASS. Attendance logs, recordings, emails, and other records may be used to document services provided and contest an improper dispute.
Liability for any training-related claim is limited to the amount paid for the class. The HSEU/PEC CLASS is not responsible for indirect costs such as lost wages, lost productivity, scheduling conflicts, or travel expenses.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling, the student and/or sponsoring company confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy and all live-class participation requirements.
